Day 232 - pies, units, foggy

A young man felt like he has nothing else to live for. His life seem to have come to an end. He knelt, and prayed:" Dear God, the cross on my back is too heavy for me. I'm so exhausted... I can't continue under such pressure."

God replied: My son, if you really feel like your cross is too heavy, lay it down in this room. Then, go open the door over there into that room. There will be lots of crosses, and you can choose a cross you like."

The young man put down his burdens. As soon as he did, his body felt light. Filled with the joy of releasing his pressure, he was very happy. Ready to go find a smaller cross, he walked into the other door. There were many many crosses. Some were huge - humongous - so big that he could not see where the cross ended.

He chose one laying in the far end by the wall of the room, the one that looked smallest. Softly, he asked God: "Dear Father, I like this one! Can I take it?"

God said: Of course. You can take whichever you like.

The young man happily lugged his new cross on his back, and showed a satisfied grin: "This is much lighter!"

Smiling along, God replied: "But son, this is the exact same cross you have left a while ago!"

Matthew 11:29-30
"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

I went to campanille today to catch some cold wind xD
It was nice hahah And from up there I took today's pic: the pacific film archives building looks like a pie and the two buildings behind is are the units 1&2. And there's a foggy mountainty-forest. :]
I'm feeling much lighter these days too x]

mmmmm I like that story =) God really is that gentle and loving, and our burdens...they really are light in comparison to the burden God must carry for all of mankind - our sins.
