The departure was very sudden, since i kinda decided to leave with my dad about 1 hour before he left home. So here i go, my 1st roadtrip in a truck!!
Tonight we didn't go too far... we stopped at a Pilot Gas station by Exit 201. (Williamburg, Iowa) There was a BEAUTIFUL thunderstorm a lil before midnight. I tried to describe it... but i don't think it matches the beauty xD
Either way, here it is, for those who are still bored at home or have time to spare & read lil sofa's bad writing =D
Any criticism is appreciated... ie, it's ok to say it's corny... xD
------------------------------------------------
We saw flashes in the horizon. Shaped like a bowl. Blurry like a cough of air in the winter. White, fading into black, and disappearing in the darkness.
Drumrolls: rows of water drops came down like the steady taps of soldier's steps. First lightly, then in a rapid crescendo, it escalated into the furious yet graceful rhythm of a tap dancer.
And now the show: Though our 180-spanned windows, we experienced the intermittent flashes around us. As if we sat in the 1st row seats, we saw the lights raising up at left corner, then the right, then together, then left-center, then a duet solo... Our truck glided on the road, surrounded by the beautifully coordinated orchestra of the nature. Ah, if you were to ask me the highlight of the trip, i'll say without a doubt, this midnight thunder storm =D
