Day 357 - great shock

2nd day of physics and i got shocked. So you know that lil science experiment where you go touch a metal ball and your hair sticks up? Well, for some reason i decided to volunteer myself to do that during physics this morning... I was fully aware that i have the fear of getting shocked.... i absolutely hate that... But hey, little kids do that experiment... so why can't ME, a 20 years old girl do it?

Everything went great! My looong hair stood up and made a nice electrical field around my head until... the prof decided to discharge the current and it made a spark so loud i took my hands off the metal ball. Uh oh, now im a charged body. I'm in danger... The prof sticks out his chubby forearm and tells me to touch him. I needed to "discharge". That inherently meant lots of lil annoying sparks.

And that's when my lil morning nightmare occured: i was too afraid to touch his forearm in fear of "static-shocking" myself. I forced my arm out - and almost touched it forearm and jerked back right away... and this lil dumb hand-dance went for about a minute while 400 pairs of eyes witnessed my electro-phobic act.

That. was not fun.

On the other hand, i got to see PALM SIZED stick bugs today!!!! This one in particular mimics a praying mantis with it's butt and hindlegs when attacked (or... simply poked)... I might be helping out taking care of them this summer =D

Also, we had an awesome feast!! Both dad and my roomie's mom cooked. I wasn't aware of how food-spoiled i was till today. In the dinner dad also discovered a new type of noodle (the korean one i think) that mom might like lots 'cause it's chewy. Hmm gotta ask how to cook that noodle...

The food was great xD
I have to start losing weight... again hahah
